It's a little sad for me to be here. I lived the world peace cafe and even worked there in the kitchen and even at the register for a bit, so I was sad to see it go. But, I'm so glad that a vegan place followed it. I've eaten at the Loving Hut off Barrett Parkway (that is now closed) and the other location in Norcross and I have always had a good meal there. I came in for the 1st time today and it still looks a lot like the old cafe. I had the curry and it was quite good. The menu is a little different from the other Loving Huts, but still all vegan, which is great. I'll be back. :-)

This Loving Hut retains a little bit of the feel of the previous occupant, World Peace Cafe, but doesn't seem to have quite the charm or brightness. I've been to the Loving Hut in Norcross too, where my memory is of a bit more brightness, along with very fresh tasting basil rolls. The Norcross location also has the Supreme Leader network much more prominently on display than this Hammond Drive location (which is a point in favor of the latter). As for the food here, I had the eggplant dish and pot stickers, and my wife had the black bean burger. The portions were substantial (definitely better than WPC's), in fact the black bean burger was huge, and the dishes were flavorful. We did not try the nice looking desserts, that might be a factor to get a bump to four stars.

I never would have guessed I would be writing this but, man is this place good. I know vegan will put off a solid majority of people but I went and was won over in short order. I have made a point to try different things and have yet to be disappointed but, if I had to pick a favorite it would be the curry, or maybe the shepherds pie, no wait, the pad thai,,, oh I give up!

My guy and I happened upon this location kind of by chance. We were in Smyrna looking for a vegan/vegetarian place to eat on GPS and chose "Sunshine something or another". The GPS led us here instead. We parked, and walked up to the counter to order. The young man at the register was very helpful, and when he couldn't tell us if a particular ingredient was in one of the entrees, he asked the chef. The chef came out and spoke to us at length, guiding us through the menu. I selected the Black Bean burger on the rocks (on a salad) and a side of vegan Mac & Cheese. My boyfriend ordered the Broccoli Teriyaki without sweetener in the sauce. We sat, got a glass of water, and started to talk. Our food arrived piping hot in about 10 minutes. The burger came with a side of roasted yukon potatoes which were delicious. The mac was super yummy and comforting. I think I enjoyed it so much because it is one of my all-time faves, and since being on my fast I wasn't able to eat it. The Broccoli Teriyaki was soooooooo good! The sauce was flavorful, and the soy "beef" slices were delicious. The burger was not my favorite, but after dipping it in the Teriyaki sauce, I found it to be a lot better. After we finished, I ordered the vegan Lasagna, Mac & Cheese, and potatoes to go. The lasagna and mac were even better the next day! The lasagna had "Italian sausage" in it, and I was especially fond of them. Very good!

A fan of World Peace, which was previously located in this space, it took a while for Loving Hut to win me over...but win me over they did! Great spot to stop for delicious soup, salad, veggie burger, or steamed fresh vegetables! Also a great place to meet friends or business colleagues...always appreciate a restaurant with WiFi! Great tea selection, too.

I was a bit wary to come here as I haven't been too much of a fan of the location in Norcross. However, recently converting from vegetarian to vegan and being an OTP'er I thought I'd give it a whirl today for lunch & I'm glad I did. I ordered the spinach wrap and thoroughly enjoyed how fresh and tasty it was. The lemon vinaigrette dressing was light and worked well with the salad that came with it. I wasn't sure about having potatoes with it, but they were just the right amount on the side and not overwhelming and seasoned rather perfect. I typically cook most of my vegan meals because I find what tends to be pre-made at most restaurants is too heavy, too salty and the portions are too large but I didn't find this to be the case at all with The Loving Hut. I will definitely be coming back and trying some more items off the menu & I'm looking forward to doing so! Thank you for providing a tasty vegan restaurant option in the suburbs Loving Hut!

Great food for a modest price. Honestly you'll love the food so much and it will be so healthy that you won't mind spending a little extra cash. Worth every penny!!!

World Peace Cafe was a "go to" spot in Sandy Springs and I was sad to see it close. I really thought this new restaurant would pale in comparison. WAS I WRONG!! My husband and I stopped in for lunch recently. I had the House Curry and he had the Black Bean Burger. Both were outstanding and surpassed any expectations. So glad that there's a quality vegan restaurant in Sandy Springs.

I often visited TLH Norcross location and I was glad to see this restaurant closer to home! This is my 2nd visit and it was much better then the 1st! My suggestion would be for them to work on customer service. Overall if you love vegetarian or vegan food, send fine them a try! Note: Their menu is not the same as the Norcross location & their prices are a bit higher.

Wish I could give negative reviews. Went there expecting to find World Peace instead I found Greasy Hut. I had my fingers crossed for them to be a good replacement but..... I ordered the Fried Rice and Potstickers. Got home and noticed they were greasier than I have ever been used to but was hungry and ate them none the less. Mistake! t this very moment my stomach is doing all kinds of churns and turns. I would have done better having the biggest Cheeseburger. Sad to say Vegan in this case did not meant healthier when you replace the meat with grease. And...... it took forever to cook - I didnt complain because I thought they were cooking fresh food, which should take longer - NOT AND.... it was costly $15.00 for lunch and in exchange I get sick to my stomach...... yukkkkkky. #notadoover If I can ever leave the restroom, I will never be back there - I will eat at McDonald's everyday before I eat there again.

Great little place for vegans! I will be back! I even got a Wheatgrass shot for free just for stopping by.

Great for a vegan resteraunt! I've been here twice over the last month and love the black bean burger, curry, and of course their deserts, which are various vegan and gluten free parfaits. Love this place will, be back soon!

I went here with a coworker for lunch a few weeks back. The Loving Hut does not have as great of an atmosphere as did the World Peace Cafe that was there before, but the minimalist approach does not get in the way of the delicious food. There is a bit more variety of plates, and the servings seem to be a good size to keep you fed. It is pricey for lunch, but it tastes great. The service was pretty good too. Our food came out super quick, and they checked on us a few times to make sure everything is good. I wouldn't mind going back here again.

Being that this place took over for World Peace Cafe, one of my favorite places ever, I can't help but compare it to them. I had the Spinach Wrap today. It was good. Light, but filling. I am not blown away by their menu and wish the food from WPC would be offered. The blackboard by the menu said 'free wheatgrass shot with meal purchase' and it wasn't brought to my table outside so I let it go. I will have to give it another shot and try a few more items before I can rave about this place.

I've visited LH in Norcross a few times before coming here. A few of the things I liked from Norcross' menu are gone, but they're replaced with other items that are really good. For example, the sweet potato/bean burger (orangish color) from LH Norcross is replaced with a black bean burger. At first, I didn't like the idea of this, but I tried their burger and it was awesome. If I had to complain about something.... I would have wanted more fries... they were really good though: big and thick. Speaking of which, the guy at the front, Richard, is really cool. He's a hunk also, no homo. But on a serious note though, the service is actually really good. You can tell the staff (at the time: Jake, Richard and Miranda) were all passionate about what they were doing and stayed on top of making sure I had what I wanted. The atmosphere is casual, yet the service was what you'd get at a restaurant with higher prices. PS - The cakes here seemed to be the same as LH Norcross, which is cool because they are all delicious. I've had vegan cakes all around ATL--sevananda, cafe sunflower and a few other random places--these are by far the best I've had. The cheesecake is my #1. The raspberry/choc, coconut and hummingbird are close behind. They also have some cupped desserts, like tiramisu and a layered eclair thing. They aren't listed on the menu so I'm not sure what they are called, but they might be my single best reason to stop in again. When I heard the same chef who makes the cakes made them, I had to try one.. and it was great. PSS - I've had the potstickers both here and at LH Norcross and they've never been greasy for me. Not even close... I mean, not considering both of them ARE fried in oil... I'm thinking Tanya E. is just bitter that her old place is gone and decided to take it out on the wrong target. If you don't like greasy, luckily the majority of the menu is extremely healthy. But yes, "Fried rice and potsitckers" are greasy. You'll also want to be aware that when you order water, it will be wet.... *facepalm*

It can be very difficult to find vegan dishes at restaurants that are actually satisfying, let alone an ENTIRE vegan restaurant! I am THRILLED about this place. I have now gone three times, and every time has been more delicious than the time before. My favorite thing to get there is the Wonton soup. They also have some really great desserts there! Everything there is wonderful, and the staff is always VERY friendly.

This place makes me happy! The food is INCREDIBLE!!!! As a new vegetarian I was highly pleased with all the menu choices. I ordered the falafel and it was so yummy served with the freshest green salad. Plus the staff was very loving and gave outstanding service!! Lastly, this place is SUPER clean having an A rating from the dept of Health. Yes, I am sort of OCD who really appreciates eating at a restaurant that is clean.

Went with a group of friends one Friday night. We had a great time. The staff was really nice and accommodating. We ordered the Pad Thai, Curry, and Stir Fry Tofu. The taste was delicious and authentic. I hope they expand their menu like the LH in Norcross though. My friends and I were having a great time talking, we didn't even notice they had closed. The staff was great about it and didn't want to interrupt our conversation while they were cleaning/closing up. I will definitely be back! Their desserts are realllly good!!!

I don't understand Tanya E.'s experience - it is not at all an accurate assessment of this great cafe. My fiance ordered the potstickers tonight & they were good. We have been to LH about a half dozen times since they opened & each time, the food has been amazing. They have the best veggie/black bean burger I have ever had (I think it is the caramelized onions they put on top & the bun is delicious, too). The food ALWAYS tastes super fresh, healthy & good to delicious. I have had the red lentil soup multiple times & love it, and my fiance loves their wonton soup (I've tasted his & it IS very good). I've also had the stir fry (very good), kale salad (good, but the dressing could use some tweaking), and a couple of other dishes that I can't remember the names of - but all outstanding. I really wish they had a location closer intown - I would eat there 2 or 3 times a week. It's not just great vegan food, it's great food, period. Although not cheap, the portions are large & very satisfying. You can easily get 2 meals from a single entree, and they do have a rewards card. It is a casual, small cafe, w/about a dozen tables - a few downstairs where the register is, and some upstairs. There is parking outside of both levels. You order at the register, get your silverware, napkins, etc. at a small station nearby, & they bring the food to your table. The staff/owners are very nice. You should try this cafe & bring your non-vegan/vegetarian friends, too. They will love the food. My mom loved it, and she's a big meat & dairy eater. (I know I've used "love" or "loved" in this review excessively, but I am not exaggerating - I really enjoy the food that much. I am not easy to please & rarely am moved to write a review about my restaurant experiences, good or bad, and even when I am initially, I never follow through. But I felt compelled to share my experiences here, especially after reading such an undeserved, negative review.)

i just blew $11 in a minute. was there at 1:20pm in the afternoon, was not busy but that has never detered me and it's off hour. one other fourtop in restaurant whom i notices after they left, le4ft all of their dessert on the table. still not discouraged, could be personal c choice. order downstairs and pay, go upstairs and get serviced. did not notice as there are no signs indicating same, you must to over to a miniscule bus station, get your curlery (they were out of knives), napkins and sit down with your number placecard and wait to be serviced. ten minutes later my order order of Red Lentil soup and Pot stickers supposedly consisting of tofu, mised veggies and dippinhg sause to arrive. and arrive they did. the soup did not have one red lentil in it, not even a green one, the broth tasted like salt, peper, mr.and mrs. dash, a few carots, etc......not what i ordered, not what i expected and was utltra thin. the pot stickers has a filled of unidentifiable veggies that look like the Gerber company might have put it together for todderls first meal, could not distinguish one from the other, no identifiable bits of tofu and the dipping sauce was at best, commercial grade, uber salty soy sauce. i asked if they had take out menus and was directed to go on the website to download same. saving on paper outage are we, try taking that money ane buying something that doesnt taste like a salt lick for a cow for dipping sauce. on the very only plus side, thee surrounding noodles were soft and pillowy. so, i sat with no utensils, no napkin until i got served and asked for same, (i would have be none the unhappier to have gotten them myself but there should be some directive that this is policy) and/or when the server comes and they see you are without, step up and say something. all in all, save yolur money, find someplace else, it a little sad, that could have been so much more with a good chef in the kitchen ane maybe not three day old srouts in the serve serve unit downstairs....bought and threw that out too......
